Never say never, I guess. Because I always told myself that a bullet journal just wasn’t for me. (I also said I’d never buy MAMBI Happy Planner stickers, but, well, umm…) That takes way too much effort, why would I want to design a new page each week?!
But life happens. Needs change. And maybe this isn’t such a bad idea after all.
Although not quite over yet, summer is quickly winding down. And with the holidays coming up, it seems like fall moves into winter so quickly. So in all the chaos, don’t forget to take care of you!
I know it is still a little early to be talking about the holidays. And the weather definitely doesn’t feel like Autumn yet. But I feel like this transition moves so much faster than it seems like it will. And between school starting up again and beginning to make Holiday plans, we can sometimes put our own self care on the back burner.
So today I am sharing with you 5 free things you can do that to be nice to yourself, and hopefully eliminate some of the natural stress of just life in general.

Let’s face it, sometimes money is not our favorite thing to talk about, let alone deal with. But it is one of those necessary evils that we just can’t ignore for too long before it becomes a real problem.
Well, I really like ignoring money. Mostly, I like to pretend that I have a lot more than I do, and that usually gets me into trouble. Opps.
So after reading (actually, listening to) Ruth Soukup’s book Living Well Spending Less, I decided that my finances needed help.
Okay ya’ll!! I cannot even tell you how excited I am right now!! A few days ago I ordered my first Filofax from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and it just came in the mail, like 10 minutes ago. And now I want to show you my new baby and explain a little about what I plan to do with it.
Let me start by saying that I love my Recollections A5 Planner. When I got done setting it up, it was exactly what I hoped it would be. I loved the colors, and the dividers turned out perfect (my first try at making them with my Silhouette machine).
But it didn’t work. As much as I loved everything about it, it just wasn’t making my life easier.
A few months ago (okay, more like 6 months ago) I showed my planner setup in my Mini Happy Planner. In that planner I have two dashboards that I made by foiling with my laminator. It is so easy and fun that I wanted to show you all how you can do it too!
Ah. I love pens. I can’t go into a store without looking in the pen aisle. I’ve had my fair share of pens that are disappointing. Especially ones that seem like they would be good and just didn’t deliver. So I wanted to share with you my favorite pens. These are my go-to pens when I pull out my planner. The ones that I know will deliver every time.
After hearing about the new Mini Happy Planner, I waited a long time to get one. Like 3 whole weeks. It was excruciating. 😛
And I’ve spent another two weeks getting it set up for 2017. But it is finally ready. Or at least I thought it was. Then today, just as I was finishing up making my accessories, I get a notification that MAMBI was live on Periscope. And they never disappoint me! Not only are they releasing a lot of accessories for the mini (including the daily pages I have been hoping for), but they are also having an awesome Black Friday sale!
Because I was wondering what I was going to spend my Black Friday funds on. 🙂
I LOVE the holidays!! Like a lot. And I’m already getting excited to start planning them. In fact, I had already started pinning fall decor ideas and Thanksgiving planning stuff, and then I did the math… It was still 3 months away! To be honest, that made me a little sad.
I love when seasons change: cold turns to Spring, Spring turns to Summer (since I’m totally a beach girl from when I lived in California!). But by far, my favorite changes are always fall and winter- plus the holidays they bring.
I love the holidays and spending time with my family. They are really happy memories for me.
And I love planning the holiday gatherings. I usually go a bit overboard when I’m left in charge…..
Life is totally overwhelming sometimes. We’ve all been there.
And sometimes making real meals is hard. There are (many) days when I just don’t want to do it.
But when I know there is something to eat, and I don’t have to go foraging through the fridge or pantry for dinner, then I’m more likely to actually make it and not just go get fast food.
