2022 Erin Condren LifePlanner & Accessories Review
I love new planner season! And is it just me or does it seem to be starting earlier and earlier… Not that I’m complaining. 😉
Every year Erin Condren introduces their new planner designs (and a bunch of matching accessories!) in both 18 and 12 month planners. So you can choose between Academic year, Calendar year, or (my favorite) get both with the 18 month planners.
Usually I have a clear winner which design I love the most. But this year was so hard! I have things that I love about each of the new designs. I still have a favorite, but I do sincerely love all of them this year.
Erin Condren is bringing back all the planner favorites for the 2022-2023 LifePlanner launch, including the new-to-last-year A5 Agenda, A5 Coils, Binders, and of course, the flagship 7×9 coiled LifePlanners.
And there is a new A5 weekly layout too!
I have a few things that I’m super excited about from this collection, and the new LifePlanners in general. I’ll get into the specifics of everything in a minute, but first I just want to talk about Launch Day.
And check out this awesome Table of Contents, so you can jump to the products that you are most interested in learning about (or just read through it all, I’m good with that too).

New Designs for the 2022 Erin Condren LifePlanner Launch
This year I have TWO different planners to show you (both are coiled):
- 7×9 Daily Duo (Colorblends)
- A5 Compact Vertical (In Bloom) – Remember I said there was a new layout? This is it!
I’m so excited that for the most part, all of the layouts are available in all of the designs this year! The only exception is that the A5 sizes (both coiled and for the Rings Agenda) don’t have an hourly or regular vertical layout. The good news is that this new Compact Vertical layout is a new option that is available ONLY in the A5 sizes to give a vertical option for those who wanted something more than horizontal. And of course, daily is also an A5 option.

Planner Paper
The paper is the same thick Mohawk paper that EC has been using for years now. It doesn’t bleed or shadow, and is strong enough to hold all the stickers you want to add.
Customizable Covers
With each coiled LifePlanner, you can customize it with a personalized interchangable cover. The interchangable covers are one of my favorite aspects of Erin Condren Planners. Because they are also interchangable, you can switch up the cover as often as you’d like. Being able to change my cover is just enough of a refresh that helps me from feeling bored with my planner (like that could ever happen! 😂). I have covers that I’ve used for a long time and they still look amazing! They are sturdy and hold up well to wear and tear.
There are also an increasing number of vegan leather covers (these are not interchangable- unless you want to uncoil your whole planner). I love the vegan leather covers a lot! They have a really nice feel, and also hold up really well. They are a bit more luxurious. And I love that they are starting to expand from the solid colors into printed designs too. They are so pretty! I’m hoping that someday the vegan leather covers will be available for the A5 planners also.
Coil Options
You also get to choose your coil metal. Platinum (silver) is the standard, but for an extra cost you can also choose between gold and rose gold.
Extra Goodies
And with any Erin Condren LifePlanner purchase, you also get a few other things. First is a packet of goodies. Inside the packet are two coupon codes for 20% off your future orders, three compliment cards, and two foiled gift labels.
You’ll also receive a perpetual calendar to keep track of important dates from year to year, contacts, and passwords. There’s even a page at the back with holidays to keep in mind when you are planning.
And probably my most used item, is the ruler (this applies to coiled planners only- as far as I know). I love having it snapped into my planner for drawing the random straight line. Plus it also makes a great bookmark. This year they made the ruler a little shorter, about an inch. But for a very good reason that I full support. It will now fit in the A5 coiled planners too! Previously, the ruler wasn’t included with the A5 LifePlanners because it was just too long. But with this smaller, universal size, it is now included with both sizes!
Harmony (Colorful & Neutral)
I’ve always been a creative, crafty type. And that’s probably part of why I love the Harmony patterns; based on using strips of tissue paper to create an abstract design.
This was the perfect design to split into a colorful and neutral version. And although the colors of the neutral are not truly neutral, you’ll be please to see that the monthly, weekly, and daily pages are still perfectly neutral and ready for you to fill with your own style of planning.

Harmony Colorful is true to the EC Style with the more traditional colors on the tabs and through the months.
The monthly calendar has the Harmony design along the top of the page. While the weekly or daily pages just have color added as an accent. As always, the dividers are beautifully decorated with the pattern and a quote each month.
In Bloom
The sister pattern to last year’s Flora design (which I still have all the 😍 for), In Bloom is the new floral design for the 2022-2023 LifePlanners. With a slightly different, but still soft & muted, color scheme that I’m just in love with, it has the same feel as Flora, but with all new flowers.
What I love about this design is that they kept the same (or maybe just a very similar) script font as Flora had. I think it’s just beautiful.

ColorBlends
ColorBlends has won the show for me this year!
We’ve seen ColorBlends before with the most recent Petite Planner launch and then with these cute sticky pockets. But having it in a full planner is just making my heart happy!
The beautiful gradient patterns are bright and fun. And I just love the font choices with it. It is simple without being the slightest bit boring.

While I’m not exactly surprised to see ColorBlends make it’s way into the LifePlanner designs this year, I’m not at all disappointed!
No picture I show you will do it justice. You’ll just have to see the beautiful colors in person to really appreciate them!
Colorblends 7×9 Erin Condren LifePlanner Daily Duo
For almost a year now I’ve been using the A5 Daily Duo. I absolutely love it, and love the size. But recently my life has gotten more complicated and I’m finding myself needing more room each day. The larger size of the 7×9 Daily Duo has the same layout as the A5 version, but with more space for all the little details.
The 2022 Erin Condren Daily Duo LifePlanner comes in two separate books. There’s just no way they could coil that many pages into one book. But this actually works out to our benefit.

For one, we get extra interchangable covers. You choose one cover when you purchase your LifePlanner Daily Duo, and they choose a cover for the second book (I’m fairly certain it will always match the interior design that you choose. ie. Colorblends, In Bloom, or Harmony). Then when you receive your planner, inside will be a coupon to get another cover for free that you can customize. So you actually get 3 sets of covers!
Second, you’ll get double the stickers. Each book has its own set of stickers in the back. I’m all for more stickers!

The basic structure of the new 2022 Erin Condren LifePlanner (in all layouts) has stayed pretty true to what we have seen in previous years.
Unlike last year, where some of the LifePlanners had a plain vellum at the beginning, this year each design has a vellum that is perfectly coordinating with the rest of the theme.
And I love how for ColorBlends, the “LifePlanner” words also have the colorful gradient.

The first page we come to after the title/name page is this page with the six boxes (does anyone really know what this page is actually supposed to be called??).
The LifePlanner Daily Duo is a little different here from the weekly planners in that it only has six boxes. I’m sure this is because there are six months worth of planning pages within each book. So if you were to divide the boxes monthly, then there would be one for each month regardless of the planner you chose to use.
And can I just say how much I love the Colorblends pattern on this page! 😍

Next up is the overview of the next 6 months with some notes space on the bottom. I really like the addition of the notes space here. It adds more functionality to this page than the calendar would be alone. And then following those 6 months of calendars is all of 2023 for any future planning you might need to do.

And finally we move into the calendar!
Most months begins with a notes page next to the tabbed divider. However, in the Daily Duo the first month (July in this case), doesn’t have that page because that’s where the calendar is.
These divider pages are a huge part of why I love Colorblends so much!
You’ll also notice that the colors in the ColorBlends each month are similar to the standard colors that EC has used in the past. Many of them are just a little lighter. I love the slight change that makes it different from what we are used to.

The tabbed page opens to the monthly calendar view.
It’s the same monthly calendar that I just love! The only difference I noticed is that it seems like the lines and text are a slightly darker gray, which I totally love. I think it just makes the whole page look more crisp and clean.
Except for the line dividing the day of the week from the top row of boxes, there is no color on this page, making it almost neutral. This is a really good option for those who like to use sticker kits on their monthly calendar. The top is empty except for the month and year.

We also still have the extra notes page and monthly planning-productivity-dashboard page (another one that I don’t have a clue what to call it).
This has been totally stripped of all preset labels, allowing you to completely customize it.
And again here, we get the colored bars (on two of the boxes) with the Colorblends pattern. I really like the small details like that that keep it cohesive, and continue to bring in the pops of color.

The layout of the daily pages has also stayed pretty identical to what it has been in the past (no complaints there for me! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!).
These daily pages also have the ColorBlends gradient on the lines at the top of the page. Having changing colors each month is something I’ve always loved in planners, specifically in the Erin Condren LifePlanner. I like trying to match my decor with the colors already included in each month. It gives me a starting point when I don’t know what else to do. And when I don’t want to decorate at all (which is common in my daily), there is that bit of color to keep the page interesting.
And I’m so so so excited to tell you that the extra notes page at the end of each week is back!! It shows up each week after Sunday. I did a happy dance when I saw this!! I love my notes pages so much! I have to write EVERYTHING down or I forget it (#adhdproblems). And like I mentioned earlier, my life has gotten more complicated lately and I need all the notes space I can get! Since the Daily Duo doesn’t have note pages in the back like the weekly LifePlanner does, this is a really valuable addition for me.

After the last day in the Daily Duo, there is one and a half notes pages. At the bottom of the second page is a list of “Heritage and Awareness Observances.” This seems to be a good compromise between including nothing and including everything. Holidays are still included in the monthly and daily (and weekly) pages, but these observance type days and months are available for those who would like to include them.
Personally, I’d be fine if they got rid of all holidays from the monthly, weekly, and daily calendars. I like the idea of having a list in the back (or in the perpetual calendar), but I don’t need it pre-printed on my planner to know when Christmas is each year. I end up covering up those little holidays with bigger and more decorative stickers anyway.

Finally in the back are the STICKERS! Oh, I’m so in love with the ColorBlends stickers! I’m sure I’ve mentioned already that I love the gradients! 😂
The 7×9 planners come with 4 sheets of stickers that match the planner design. The A5 planners come with 2 sheets of matching stickers. I’m also so excited that the stickers match each of the designs this year!
Each sheet is foiled and they are just so pretty! Lately I’ve been loving having stickers coiled into my planner. It is so handy when I want something fun and don’t want to get up to find something in my collection. This is also convenient for those who take their planner on the go.

The very last thing in the 2022 Erin Condren LifePlanner is a double sided pocket. And they also match each design perfectly and are so pretty! They are study, coated cardstock. I’ve never had trouble with mine wearing out, and I use them all the time. It’s perfect for holding all the little extras (stickers?) that you might want nearby as you plan. And you do get one of these in each of the Daily Duo books.

I feel no disappointment about the 2022 Erin Condren LifePlanner Daily Duo. I love everything about it and I’m so excited especially about the extra notes page within the week.
In Bloom A5 Erin Condren LifePlanner Weekly Compact Vertical
This new design took me by surprise in the best way possible. When I heard there was a “compact vertical” layout, I was picturing the regular vertical layout of the 7×9 planners, only really skinny (because fitting that style on A5 size does not allow for much writing space). And that’s not what this is at all!
But before I jump ahead too much, I’ll show you what’s in the beginning of the In Bloom 2022 Erin Condren Life Planner.
This is the 18 month version, going from July 2022-December 2023. This planner is pretty thick. Being the smaller A5 size, it isn’t too heavy. But if you are considering getting a 7×9 planner, you might want to take that into consideration. I know some people get the 18 month planners and take out the 6 months that they don’t plan to use, in order to get the larger coil. If you use a lot of stickers, you’d probably appreciate having that larger coil once you get a few months into the planner.
Like the ColorBlends pattern, the pages are basically the same as what we are used to from previous versions. But the new colors are so pretty, and I just love the all the flowers.
This vellum is one of my favorite parts. The colors are so vibrant! I feel like it is setting the stage for the rest of the planner.

And then you get a beautiful quote page…

And then this page differs from the Daily Duo because the 18 month calendar comes before the 12 planning boxes.
The script font in this planner is so beautiful! Overall, I think they just nailed it with all the fonts in the planners this year.

Because this is a weekly planner, it has 12 boxes on this planning page. It does mention goals at the top of the page, so that might be it’s intended use. However, the boxes aren’t labeled so they can be used for anything.

The next page begins the regular calendar pages. It starts with a notes page and the tabbed divider page. Like all of the 2022 Erin Condren LifePlanners, the colors change through the months. The In Bloom pattern rotates between 6 colors that are used throughout the month, including on the tab and divider.

The monthly calendar has a few images of flowers across the top, which are so beautiful. I love having the matching stickers to go with these types of designs. I can add a few of the included stickers (or with the matching sticker book) and with minimal effort my planner is already decorated and pretty.

In Bloom also has the monthly planning dashboard page, also with a few flower images at the top.

And then we get into the weekly pages and the brand new layout.
I love this new layout! The lines, the amount of space for each day, and the blank space for notes each week. I can’t wait to see how people start to use and decorate this layout.
What I don’t love the mini calendar, but I can deal with that. I’ve had it in the daily and I almost don’t even notice it anymore.

I’m trying to decide if I like the way the days are arranged on the page. In some ways it makes sense, but in others it seems confusing. So this might be one of those things that I’d need to try it out before knowing for sure. But that’s definitely something that could be easily changed with stickers if you know it will confuse or bother you.
After all of the months, you get 10 notes pages. Notes pages are useful for information that you need long term, and that doesn’t change much. It’s a perfect place to put information that is more for reference.

We also have the Heritage and Awareness Observances list in this planner, followed by a contacts page.

And the last planning page is the Future Planning for 2024.

Like in the Daily Duo, this planner also includes coiled in stickers. Like I mentioned earlier, there are two sheets in the A5 LifePlanners, instead of the 4 sheets that are in the 7×9 planners.
They are mostly functional stickers, but still decorated so that they will match perfectly next to the beautiful florals that are already in the LifePlanner.

And finally we have the double sided pocket. I love the foil accents on this pocket! And it’s still just the right size to hold the perpetual calendar.

I love the beautiful florals in this In Bloom Erin Condren Weekly LifePlanner. The metallic details are just gorgeous. Plus the soft, muted colors just give me a feeling of calm while I look at the pages. In Bloom is a wonderful design for those who want a beautiful planner, but don’t want to have to decorate each week/month.
Planner Accessories
There are so many new accessories being launched with the 2022 Erin Condren LifePlanner. Each of the four new designs has coordinating accessories to match, that will help you get more organized and better utilize your new LifePlanner.
I have many of the In Bloom and Colorblends accessories to show you. There are also many new accessories for both Harmony patterns, and even more that will be released to go with the A5 Agendas.
Colorblends Washi Tape – 4 pack
This year, Erin Condren is releasing 4 new sets of washi tape, with 4 rolls in each pack! There is a set of washi for each of the four patterns this year. Each has a similar theme (two with the design, one with grid marks, and one striped with half foil), but with colors and designs to coordinate with the pattern.
I have the Colorblends Washi Tape set to show you here. Unlike some of the previous tapes, these have a true “washi” feel and look.

Sticker Packs (A5 sets)
As in past years, Erin Condren is making the stickers from the back of the planners available separately. For those who love a design, but don’t need to buy or use multiple planners, this is a great way to add in the other designs that you love.
There are eight sticker sets available. All four patterns each have their own set of stickers in both 7×9 and A5. The A5 sets include two sheets of stickers, and the 7×9 sets have four sheets of stickers.
These are the exact same sticker sheets that are coiled into the back of each LifePlanner. I love that they offer this as an option! Having stickers that match my planner just makes my heart happy!
Pictured below are the A5 sticker sheets from In Bloom and Colorblends.

Mini Snap-in Bookmarks
Mini Snap-in Bookmarks are consistently one of my favorite accessories from Erin Condren. They can be used in the LifePlanner and other coiled books from EC, but I also use them in every coiled book I have. They will even fit on plastic coils.
My favorite part is that they are small enough to not block what is on the page. They stick out over the top and make it easy to see where you want to turn to. And of course, they are always beautiful!
This is one of my must-have accessories! I always get these, and have them in almost every design that has been offered. Usually more than one set of each.
I hate to search for the page I have been working on, but placing these on the pages I need makes it so much easier to get the the page I need quickly.
Pictured below are the In Bloom and Colorblends Mini Snap-in Bookmarks.

In Bloom Ballpoint Pen
The In Bloom Ballpoint Pen is a higher-end pen with a heavy weight and more of a luxury feel. I love the rose gold accents, combined with the In Bloom pattern on the barrel of the pen.
And although they do write well, I will always keep hoping for a gel version of these gorgeous pens!

In Bloom Ultimate Planny Pack
Last Fall, Erin Condren introduced the Ultimate Planny Pack. This updated version of the favorite pen pouch is even more functional! Now the zipper wraps around two sides, and the exterior pocket is on the front instead of behind the elastic on the back. It also includes a couple of pockets on the inside to keep your pens and accessories organized and neat.
This new In Bloom design is so beautiful with the vibrant colored flowers and cream colored background. It has a rose gold zipper and elastic strap, which just match so well with the colors of the In Bloom pattern.

In Bloom Sticker Book
Another of my favorites is always the sticker books! This year there are two sticker books to choose from: the bright Harmony Colorful and In Bloom, with it’s softer color palette.
Within the In Bloom Sticker Book, there are 12 sheets of stickers. Three of those are a more washi type feel of sticker paper, which gives them a more transparent look on the paper. All of the sheets are foiled, using all three standard colors of foil (silver, gold, and rose gold).

In Bloom Universal Snap-in Sticky Notes
All designs of the Snap-in Sticky Notes got an amazing update this year (as well at the snap-in dashboards that I will talk about next). This is probably one of my favorite accessory changes!
Previously these fun sticky notes have been on a plastic card that snaps into the coil of the book, with a tap that sticks out the side of your book. The same place where all your monthly tabs also are.
But this year they rotated the design, making the tab now at the top (yay!), and it will now fit into the A5 planners perfectly too!
Each stack of sticky notes has 20 sheets in it, with 10 designs in each set. I love there there are some smaller options this year. There were times when I was wishing I had a smaller size for certain days that had a lot going on. Now there is a larger variety of sizes that should be able to fit all needs.

In Bloom Universal Snap-in Dashboard
Like I mentioned above, the Snap-in Dashboards also got a makeover this year. And just like the ruler and sticky notes, the dashboard also now fits into all planner sizes!
The Snap-in Dashboards are so good for flexible planning! They can also be used as a bookmark that is easily moved, but because they have a laminated surface, using a dry or wet erase marker allows you more space for planning. But then you can wipe it off when you are done and start over.
The front of the In Bloom Universal Snap-in Dashboard (try saying that 5 times fast) has a lined space at the top for priorities, and a checklist below. The back is divided into days for weekly notes. This would be a great option for having your weekly view inside a daily planner.

In Bloom Magnetic Dashboard
Another dashboard option that we have now are the magnetic dashboards. These were released recently, and now are available in new the designs, including In Bloom.
I’m impressed at how strong the magnet is, and how solid the entire dashboard feels. They are a smaller size than the laminated snap-in dashboards. But they still function the same way with a wet or dry erase marker.
They layout is very similar to the snap-in dashboard, with space for priorities, a to do list, and a weekly overview on the opposite side.

More New Products
In Bloom Lilac Interchangable Covers
As with every launch, there are also some new interchangable cover designs being released.
There are three new In Bloom designs, in addition to the foiled cover option (which is the one I have on my A5 that I showed earlier in the post). The one I have to show you below is the Lilac version. These new covers look like the dividers inside the planners. I love the florals on them, especially the sketched flower outlines. The colors are the same muted shades from the In Bloom color palette.

Watercolor Stripes Neutral Interchangable Cover
I also have the Watercolor Stripes (Neutral) cover. I love this one so much!! The soft colors are so pretty! Plus there is a similar version with brighter colors that would match more with the Colorblends and Harmony Colorful patterns.
(You can see it in the picture above).
Dual Ink Dual Tip Markers – 12 Pack
I’m so excited to see not only more pens (because is there such a thing as having too many pens??), but also to see a larger pack of these Dual Tip Dual Ink Markers that I love so much from the Notebook & Writing Tools launch a couple months ago. This 12 pack has six new colors, in addition to the previous six that are in the smaller pack.
The reason I love these particular markers so much is because one side has a highlighter style chisel tip, and the other side has a coordinating color fine tip pen. I love so much that each side is a different color, but that they match so perfectly that you can use them both together.

18 Month Petite Planner
And finally, I was so excited to see the new 18 Month Petite Planner! This is something that is a staple in my planning system. I use one of these for work and it holds everything I need to reference perfectly! The Petite Planners and On the Go Folio are something I just love to use!
Of course, I also love the Colorblends pattern on the cover! It is so pretty and simple!
The interior of this Petite Planner has 18 monthly calendars on a two page spread each. After those 18 months are just a bunch of lined notes pages. These planners are great for projects with deadlines, because the notes pages give you the room you need to keep track of all the details. Just like the coiled Monthly Planner, there are so many uses for a planner that allows for this much flexibility.
