2023-2024 Erin Condren LifePlanner Review

It’s that time of year again when we binge watch all the YouTube videos we can find and scour Pinterest for any details of the new Erin Condren LifePlanners!

I’ve found myself sitting in front of a screen for hours combing through all the new content trying to find any detail or image of the planners I’m most interested in hoping for something new to hold me over until I can see it with my very own eyes.

If you’ve done this too, then you are definitely my kind of people.

What is the Erin Condren LifePlanner?

The Erin Condren LifePlanner (often referred to as the ECLP) is a beautifully designed planner that helps you organize your daily life, keep track of important events, and achieve your goals.

It comes in a variety of sizes and styles, and each planner is customizable with your choice of cover design. The ECLP has three different layout options, including vertical, horizontal, hourly, and daily, to fit your unique planning style.

Each planner is made with high-quality paper, making it easy to write on with your favorite pens and markers, without bleeding or shadowing.

Plus, the Erin Condren LifePlanner has a variety of fun and functional matching accessories, like stickers, snap-in dashboards, and interchangeable covers, to help you personalize your planner and make it truly your own.

Where to buy the Erin Condren LifePlanner

Erin Condren is mainly an online based store, which you can check out right here

But they also have two physical stores located in Irvine, California and Austin, Texas.

I love the ease of shopping online. However, if you are ever in the area of a physical store, you should absolutely try the experience of shopping in person too. The stores are beautiful and an experience all in themselves. Plus the employees are always the kindest!

Options for the 2023-2024 Erin Condren LifePlanner

two erin condren planners, one is inspire design the other is wildflowers design

Every year the new Erin Condren planners come in new designs. This year there are three main interior designs: Inspire, Wildflowers, and Canvas; along with new Focused Planners. The layout and design of the Focused Planner is the same as previous years.

You also will have the option to choose between three weekly layouts (vertical, horizontal, and hourly), and their daily duo, which is a set of two books (6 months each) with daily planning pages.

Other options include the size of your planner (7×9 or A5), and whether you want to plan in a coiled planner or A5 ring agenda.

For those wanting a coiled planner, you will have a choice between 4 different metal coils. The platinum (silver) comes standard, and other options are a $10 additional charge. Gold and rose gold are the returning favorites, but this year Erin Condren introduced the multicolored coil! This stunning new addition fades from pink to blue to purple, and it’s just the most unicorn looking coil I’ve ever seen! I didn’t even know it was possible to create a colored coil, let alone one with multiple colors on the same coil!

This colorful coil will only be available on the 7×9 weekly planners. Although, if it has enough popularity, I think we could convince them to expand it to other coiled books.

Inspire

The signature color scheme that has been in Erin Condren LifePlanners since almost the beginning, is matching so well with this new interior design painted by Jessi Raulet of EttaVee.

Beautiful swirled paint strokes in bright and exciting colors decorate the planner pages, including the monthly spread.

Weekly pages are still kept pretty simple, but do have the bright colors to to bring some fun to each spread.

Wildflowers

Beautiful florals with the muted color scheme has become a favorite design since the Flora pattern of a couple years ago. This year they continued to deliver on that love with a stunning new design called Wildflowers.

The lovely watercolor florals appear on some of the beginning pages of the planner, and on the monthly calendar. But the weekly or daily pages are more simple with just a touch of color.

This pretty design seems to be the middle point between the bright and colorful Inspire design and the purely neutral Canvas.

Canvas

Customers asked for the return of the completely neutral Erin Condren LifePlanner and EC delivered!

Canvas comes with a simple design made of the signature asterisk on the monthly tab page, and a clean basic layout with no pattern on the monthly and weekly pages.

But the best part is the all gray tabs marking each month.

If you are looking for a no-frills design, for either simplicity or to decorate with all the stickers, then Canvas is made for you.

With all the different options and tons of new accessories to choose from, it can get confusing (and even overwhelming) quickly.

Because of this I’ve created a printable wishlist to help you keep track of all your favorites that you want to order on Launch day (or any time after that). You can grab it here.

What’s Changed in the New Erin Condren LifePlanner?

close up of the erin condren lifeplanner hourly layout with new habit trackers on the bottom left side of the page

There weren’t a lot of changes in the new Erin Condren LifePlanners besides the interior designs. In fact, the vertical, horizontal, and daily duo all look the same as we’ve seen in previous years, and the extra planning pages that are included are also the same.

But the hourly layout did get a bit of a makeover this year, although the changes aren’t drastic. There is now an added extra space at the top of each column, which does push the layout almost to the very edge of the page. And they’ve also added two habit trackers to the bottom of the sidebar, and moved the mini calendar back to the top next to the date.

Most of the notable things from this launch are actually some of the new accessories. The new zippered canvas folio and the snap-in customizable dashboard are a few of my favorites as an example. Even then, most of the new accessories are the same items that we’ve come to expect, just with the new designs.

What’s Inside the Erin Condren LifePlanner?

erin condren lifeplanner open to the monthly dashboard page

Each weekly LifePlanner has a similar setup, only varying in the weekly layout.

The beginning of each planner has a yearly overview calendar with 18 months; a page with 12 boxes for goal setting, important dates, or anything else that you might want to use it for; and a beautiful quote page with that planner’s interior design (actually, the Daily Duo doesn’t have the quote page).

After each month tab there is (of course) the monthly calendar, a dashboard planning page (like in the picture above), and then your weekly pages (vertical, horizontal, or hourly).

I love that although they have made changes through the years, the basic design and layout are consistently the same and we can know what to expect. If you’ve purchased an Erin Condren LifePlanner before (at least within the last few years), this will be very similar to what you have already come to know and love.

All the Planner Accessories

The team at Erin Condren was so kind to send me many of the new accessories and products that are also being released with the Erin Condren LifePlanner launch on April 24th.

While most of them are items that we are used to seeing (bookmarks, pens, and stickers) just with a new updated design, there are a few brand new things that I’m really excited about.

And most of these accessories come in both Inspire and Wildflowers design to match whatever your style is.

Snap-in Customizable Dashboards (with top tabs!)

I can’t get over this one! I’m so excited about these new Pocket Dividers with top tabs!

They have pockets on each side, and the top tabs almost make me giddy. I really love top tabs. They come in a pack of 3 (for $10.50).

Another cool feature is that you can write with wet erase markers on the surface of them. Have a routine or re-occurring checklist? Slip it into one of the pockets and use a wet erase marker to check items off the list. Then erase and start over again.

New Canvas Zipper Folios

These new canvas zippered folios are going to be one of the hits of this launch!

With lots of pockets (that fit items like the sticker book!) you can carry all your favorite planning accessories and your planner around with you wherever you go.

These are available in an A5 and 7×9 size.

Something to keep in mind, with an 18 month planner the folio will be very snug. It will still close just fine, but it doesn’t leave a lot of room for extras, both in the pockets or planners that are bulky because of stickers. And you won’t be able to keep pens in there and still have it close. I tried and it just doesn’t work.

The Daily Duo (and I assume a 12 month planner) fit much better. Notebooks fit the best, but those are pretty thin.

New Gel Pen

image of pen propped against it's decorative box

For the past few years Erin Condren has released a designer ballpoint pen. They have always been beautiful, but for me the downside was always that they were ballpoint (I just don’t use it much).

I was so excited to see that this year it was replaced with a new designer GEL pen! They are beautifully wrapped in a vegan leather material that’s printed with the Inspire or Wildflower design. Instead of a twist style pen, it has a removable cap. And I was told that it is a 0.5mm tip, but when I was writing with it, it seemed like it wrote more like a 0.7mm.

It might have just been my pen, but it did seem to be inconsistent in how it wrote. When it was good, it was really good. But sometimes it would skip or feel a little scratchy. Again, I really hope this was just my pen. I haven’t heard yet if others are having the same issue.

But the good news is that these pens are refillable (although the refills are not available at this time). But hopefully that means that a replacement ink would work smoother. **You can refill them with gel pen refills from TUL and Pentel Energel Gel Pens.**

More Accessories

Let’s dive into the other new accessories for the Erin Condren LifePlanner!

First up is the new sticker book, which is packed with beautiful designs and inspirational quotes to make planning a little more fun. The mix of functional and decorative stickers is perfect for finding whatever you need. The stickers are high quality and easy to peel, making it a breeze to customize your planner to your heart’s content.

Next, let’s talk about the mini snap-in bookmarks. These are my personal favorite! They are small and easy to store, but provide a perfect way to mark your place in the planner. And in both the Inspire and Wildflowers designs, they add a cute pop of color to your planner pages.

The variety pen pack is a must-have for any planner enthusiast. Each set (Inspire or Wildflower) includes six different colors of pens with 3 different sizes & styles for each color, making them perfect for color-coding and organizing your daily tasks. The pens write smoothly and are the perfect way to bring in colors that match the design of your LifePlanner.

Washi tape is another accessory that can add some personality and style to your planner, and can be used in so many ways. The Inspire and Wildflowers designs both have matching washi tape to make your planner look cohesive and beautiful. Plus, the tape is removable, so you can easily move it around.

Erin Condren’s new dashboards are a game changer for anyone who loves to stay organized.

These dashboards can be written on with wet erase markers and are perfect for jotting down to-do lists, reminders, or even your meal plan for the week.

The magnetic dashboard has strong magnets that will attach over multiple pages, while the snap-in dashboard will clip into your coiled planner for extra planning space.

Plus, the sleek design adds a stylish touch to your planner setup. Available in both the Inspire and Wildflowers designs, these dashboards are a must-have accessory for anyone looking to up their planning game.

Lastly, we have the Ultimate Planny Pack. This accessory is a great way to keep all your planner supplies in one convenient place. The planny pack has an elastic strap and is designed to fit perfectly over the cover of the Erin Condren LifePlanner. And in comes in matching designs to complete the look. It’s the perfect solution for keeping your pens, highlighters, other planner accessories all in one place, making it easy to stay organized on the go.
