It’s Planner Move-in Season and I’m so excited to show you how I set up my new Erin Condren LifePlanner in this July 2019 Plan with Me!
I have just been so excited to move into my new Erin Condren LifePlanner, I couldn’t wait to get July setup! I chose to get the 18 month LifePlanner so I could have a few months to try out the new layout and changes before officially moving in in January.
And if you haven’t bought your new LifePlanner yet, you can get $10 off by signing up through my link here.
The new Erin Condren LifePlanner for 2020 (plus I opted to get the rest of 2019 in mine too) has some new pages added to each month. It took me some time to figure out how to use these pages. Honestly, I’m still not sure that the way I have them setup for July is how I will continue to do it. But that’s what I’m hoping to be able to experiment with by having the extra months in this planner.
And I’m not one to ever turn down extra note space in my planner!
It seems that a lot of people aren’t sure what to do with the new pages, so I thought I would share what I’m doing with them for July. Hopefully it will give you some ideas if you are also wondering how to use the new extra spaces.
So for July 2019, I’m going to be setting up the original notes page next to the divider, the two new pages, and the monthly calendar.
Lined Notes Page : the one before the divider
This particular notes page isn’t new for me, however I have decided to switch it up with the new dot grid page. Instead of having my to do list, I wanted to try out having my general budget on this page for easy reference during the month.
Dot Grid Notes Page: the one after the divider
As I mentioned in the last section, my lined notes page is usually my master to do list for the month. I wanted to be able to see my list with the rest of my goals and events for the month, so I decided to move it to this dot grid page.
I section off a few lines at the top for a header and a quote. Then I will divide the rest of the page in half. One side is my master to do list for the month; the other side is for any project or event during the month that needs extra space. Since I will be traveling during July, this half will be a packing list this month.
Structured Notes Page
I love that this page has some structure, but is still flexible enough to make it into whatever you need it to be.
The only labeled sections are birthdays and goals. Both of which could be covered up if it isn’t something that you need. But I plan on using them for both of those things.
I’m going to use the birthday section for any celebrations through the month. I don’t have nearly enough birthdays (or even celebrations) to fill the whole section, but I thought this would be a great place to also add in present ideas.
I like that there are 4 check boxes (hexagons) in the goal section. That seems like a good number of goals to focus on during a month and will help me to stay focused on what things really need to get done each month.
I haven’t filled them out yet because I still don’t know what they will be. When July is closer, I will add in the things I want to accomplish during the month.
I’ve added a favorite quote to the small lined box. I wanted to have something that I could go back to through the month that would be uplifting. Quotes are very motivating to me, and I really wanted to have a space where I could put one that I can focus on during the month.
Finally we have the bottom dot grid box. I don’t have the purpose of this box finalized as something that I will for sure do every month. To be honest, any of the above things can change month to month as needed. That’s just one of the awesome benefits of having flexible spaces in your planner.
But at least for this month, I’ve made it into a space that can be used to plan for the 4th of July. This is a favorite holiday in my family, and it is tied to many traditions and awesome memories. I have been living hundreds of miles from my family, but recently moved back to my hometown to be closer to them. Getting to finally spend the 4th of July with them again is something I’m really looking forward to.
Monthly Calendar
On the monthly calendar I’m mostly just planning on decorating, and not so much adding in events right now. It’s just barely June so I don’t know much of my schedule for the month yet. But the calendar will have the same types of information as my June monthly calendar: bills, things that happen every week, and anything out of the ordinary that gets scheduled.
Since I have space for my goals on the previous page, I don’t need to add those into my sidebar for July. But I will still use this space for things that I need to remember specifically for this month, or next month. And I might end up added a habit tracker sticker in the sidebar as well.
I love having July setup. The Planner Kate stickers look awesome, and I can’t wait to see the rest of it come together as the month gets closer. To see how it gets filled out, make sure you are following me on Instagram (@lauren_msbl). I will post more pictures on there as we get closer to July. That’s also where I post my weekly spreads if you are interested in seeing those.
